Urology Awareness Month (August 31st-September 30th) highlights the risk factors and symptoms involved in urological health issues that affect the public. Through The Urology Foundation, several events and initiatives take place to raise the public awareness about urological cancers, symptoms, and treatments. One of the most common cancers affecting men is prostate cancer. Approximately one out of eight men are diagnosed with prostate cancer; 40,000 men are diagnosed each year. Following close behind prostate cancer is bladder cancer which affects both men and women in growing numbers. Additional urological cancers include kidney and testicular cancer which are less common in comparison to prostate cancer. Read More…
